Frequently asked questions
Do I need to be technical to work with you?
No. We explain everything in plain English and handle the technical side.
How much does it cost?
Every business is different, so we don’t publish prices. After an initial conversation we’ll suggest a sensible first step, and before any work starts you get a fixed quote in writing.
Our software is old. Can you still help?
Very likely. That’s one of our specialities. If your team can use it, AI can usually connect it. AI agents can be trained to use older software through its screens, entering and retrieving data just as your staff do, and we can also connect through files, reports or databases. Once it’s connected, your older system can work with modern AI tools like everything else.
Our software supplier has gone. What can we do?
More than you might think. We can help you understand and document how the system works, get your data out safely, keep it connected while you still need it, and plan what comes next, on your timetable. We always review the licence terms first and recommend legal advice where it’s needed.
Are we allowed to have AI use our software?
Usually yes, since it uses the software the same way your staff do. Some licences have rules about automated access or need a separate user licence, so we check the terms with you before anything goes live.
How do we know the AI is getting it right?
Everything is checked and logged. AI confirms its own entries, cross-checks data between systems, asks a person when it isn’t sure, and keeps a full audit trail. We test alongside your existing process before go-live.
We have strict industry requirements. Can you work within them?
Yes. We set up checks, approvals and logging around the regulations, standards and policies that apply to your business, and we document everything so you can show exactly how each process works.
Is our data safe?
We design with UK GDPR in mind, use business-grade AI services that don’t train on your data, keep data within your existing systems where possible, and never put confidential information into public chatbots.
Can our most sensitive data stay in-house?
Yes. For sensitive information we can set up AI that runs on your own premises or private servers, so that data never goes to a public AI service. We agree with you up front which data can use cloud AI and which stays local.
Do you actually use this yourselves?
Every day. Our own business runs on AI systems we built, with the same logging, permissions and private-data controls we offer clients.
Will AI replace my staff?
Our aim is to remove the repetitive parts of people’s jobs so they can focus on customers, judgement and growth.
Our data is messy. Can we still use AI?
Yes, and that’s often the best place to start. Improving the information coming in is the first step of our approach.
Can our staff build their own tools?
Yes. We set up approved platforms, templates and simple governance, then train your team.
Is there funding available?
Some UK and regional schemes support AI adoption. We can point you in the right direction.
What happens after the project?
You own everything, fully documented. Run it yourself, or choose aicorn Care.
